The XJ and SF-type flotation machines are self-aerating mechanical agitation flotation cells. Our company offers 14 models with varying tank volumes:
- XJ Series: 5 models with tank volumes of 0.35–5.8 m³, impeller diameters of 300–750 mm, and processing capacities of 0.18–7 m³/min.
- SF Series: 9 models with tank volumes of 0.37–20 m³, impeller diameters of 296–760 mm, and processing capacities of 0.2–20 m³/min.
The XJ and SF-type self-aerating flotation machines feature:
- A novel forward-inclined tank design with a dual impeller system.
- Flow guide pipes and a false bottom to ensure dual circulation (upward & downward) of slurry, improving coarse particle suspension.
- Self-aspiration of air and slurry, eliminating the need for froth pumps.
✔ Applications
Scope: Primarily used for the separation of non-ferrous metals such as copper, zinc, lead, nickel, and gold, as well as ferrous metals and non-metallic minerals in roughing and cleaning operations.
✔ Key Advantages
1. Each cell integrates three functions—aeration, slurry suction, and flotation—forming an independent flotation circuit without auxiliary equipment.
2. Horizontal configuration allows flexible process adjustments.
3. Optimized slurry circulation minimizes coarse sand sedimentation.
4. Equipped with automatic pulp-level control for easy adjustment.
✔ Working Principle
When the impeller rotates, a negative pressure zone forms in the impeller chamber, drawing in air through the suction pipe and central tube while slurry is sucked in through the central tube and cover plate openings.
Inside the impeller chamber, air and slurry are thoroughly mixed, then discharged at high tangential and radial momentum through the cover plate, dispersing uniformly in the tank.
Mineralized bubbles and part of the slurry rise to the froth layer, where they are scrapped off by the paddles.
- The remaining slurry returns to the lower zone for recirculation, ensuring efficient separation.
This design ensures stable performance, high aeration efficiency, and low energy consumption, making it ideal for various mineral processing applications.
